Why Don't I Just Bike There?
Driving to the interior of British Columbia to celebrate my dad's 85th birthday, I was thinking about my 'what's next'. Some dear friends of mine retired to Halifax, Nova Scotia, and my husband & I were planning to drive out to visit them the next summer. As I was thinking about the trip, I came across a biker, loaded with panniers, coming through 'the Duffy' (a backroad between Pemberton and Cache Creek). The moment I saw the biker, it hit me "Why don't I just ride my bike to Halifax?" That moment put the wheels into motion (literally).

About the Author - Corinne Visscher, Squamish, B.C.
At 55, I'm carving out some 'me' time to bike across Canada.
-
"Do I know anything about long haul biking?" Nope...well, I'm learning.
-
"Are you physically fit?" Nope...well, I'm getting there.
I'm super lucky to be backed up with a supportive cheer squad of my husband, children, family and friends - and a growing community of supporters around the world.
As I travel, I'm looking forward to documenting my travels (I love to write) and expressing my creativity through photography and free style expression (TBD).
Thank you for joining me as I explore Canada, push my limits, and embrace the beauty that this land has to share.
