Today is a rest day for me. Brian is working from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm (which is 2:00 am to 3:00 pm BC time), so I spend my day sitting in my 'office' (the bed) catching up on blog posts, planning the next part of the ride and just lazing around (I'm getting surprising good at doing just nothing much).
I have always known that my husband has a split personality - 'Brian' (the guy I know) and 'Business Brian' (the professional). It is interesting being around 'Business Brian' on this trip. In the trailer, 'Business Brian' is 12 feet away from me. He is strategic, focused and attends to many tasks. He's the leader of his team and is responsible for keeping the momentum up and making sure that the business runs smoothly. He's committed to his work and has the best interests of the business in mind. I am lucky that Brian is really good about keeping his work and personal time separate. At home...I'm the boss (we both know it) and Brian is incredibly supportive of my crazy ideas. He helps me to push me past my self-limiting beliefs to realize that I can actually do and be more more than I think I can. It's interesting to have these two completely separate worlds of the life of Brian come together right here in our little trailer.

Part way through the day, Brian suggests that I head out to town and get my nails done (or something), but to be completely honest, I don't feel like driving. I think that I will need to gradually re-introduce myself to driving the truck - everything happens so much faster in a vehicle than it does on the bike.
Our big outing for the day is going to a nearby Denny's for dinner and the convenience store. Both just opened 2 weeks ago - how handy for us.

The Life of Brian.
