Today I feel a bit like I'm falling apart. I've basically laid around all day melting (the 'yellow alert - high temperature' persists) as I've nursed a headache, eye infection, and now stomach upset. My leg muscles are aching and sore (a sign that I pushed the limits again yesterday) and my right knee is sore because I smashed it on a corner in the trailer.
I'm so grateful that I switched up my travel itinerary so that I've got an extra rest day to recharge my battery and hopefully get over my physical ailments.
I feel like the tension is rising as I'm rounding the final stretch of this cross-Canada journey. I can see the end, and yet so much can still go wrong on the home stretch. The ride is not over until I reach the final destination - Cape Spear, Newfoundland. Things like my health, the weather, mechanical issues, and even transport over to Newfoundland can all go haywire at the drop of a hat. I'm nervous about getting on the ferry on Sunday - the Dutch woman biker back in Whycocomagh said that I was supposed to book my bike for the ferry. I did not see that as an option when I booked - so I'm nervous that my reservation is not valid.
Brian does a good job trying to lift my spirits by dragging me out of the RV for a walk and ice cream while the washing (laundry) gets done.

You're going to make it Corinne...for sure.
Keep pedaling, smiling ...so close now!
You are one of very few who can persist and ride all across the country
