Today is a special rest day because Brian and I get to visit my dear friend and her husband in Trail, B.C. I was a bit dizzy first thing this morning when I got up, but thankfully it has resolved quickly.
It has been 10 days since last driving the truck, and Brian (who never dares to comment on my driving) points out that I am driving 10 km BELOW the speed limit and that there is a big line of cars behind us. Clearly I've become accustomed to a slower pace of transportation.
We spend the day in Trail enjoying hours of conversation with two amazing people. (They turn out to have a lot of valuable knowledge about the next leg of my journey! ) We got to meet their new (and very energetic puppy) and I got the chance to wash and dry a load of laundry. We leave mid-afternoon with full bellies, happy hearts and fresh laundry - I'm not sure things can get much better!!

I'm ready for tomorrow's ride from Castlegar to Crawford Bay through Nelson (one of my favourite B.C. towns).
